My New Blog

Life can change in a blink of an eye.  The devastating events that have happened in Japan have been a great reminder how quickly things can change.  Seeing video clips and listening to reports have adjusted my focus about what is really important.  We can get caught up in the economics of our nation, the political debates swirling over union workers, and the housing crisis.   We may feel like the foundation of our lives is experiencing a 9.0 earthquake, but when a literal earthquake causes the kind of chaos Japan is now experiencing, we realize things were not as bad as we thought. 

Life has a way of teaching us many lessons we didn't want to know.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of the massive earthquake and tsunami.  The upheaval and the shattered lives of the Japanese people have definitely given me pause for thought about what really matters in life.
